The Airman Hotel - Shefford

The room was spacious, but cleanliness and maintenance left much to be desired.

We liked this place, it's good value and recently refurbished. The rooms are huge, decent size, and come with an electric kettle, central heating and an iron. The staff is being attentive and hard-working. The dinner in the attached restaurant is what you need.

Enjoyed it. Distance to the airport was just 25 km.

The rooms are great-sized with grotty bathroom, ventilation, as example. It offers easy, ideal location.

The restaurant serves authentic Turkish food that's surprisingly delicious, with a free starter of dips and bread that sets a nice tone. The unique Turkish theming creates an enjoyable vibe within the dining area, clean and well-presented.

First off, the overall feel of the place is outdated and could use a serious facelift-rooms are in dire need of a refresh, with worn carpets and faded paint. The lack of a proper remote for the TV was frustrating, as was the kettle that didn't work at first and only a single mug available. The bathroom setup is awkward. The shower head hangs with no proper stand. The windows don't close properly, which led to a draft and noise issues. Lastly, the parking situation isn't ideal and lacks designated spots.

This place suits me perfectly. It offers free wi-fi, free parking, and a tv. On my first stay, the staff helped me with directions, which I appreciate. I highly recommend it.

I appreciated the warm atmosphere of The Airman Hotel, with its rustic charm, inviting bar with a log burning fireplace, and lovely beamed ceilings. The spacious layout made it easy for me to navigate comfortably.

The bed in the family room was unexpectedly comfy, and we appreciated the cleanliness of the bathroom! Only downside was the need for some refurbishment throughout the hotel. 😊

Convenient location with a comfy room

The room was clean and presentable, with enough tea and coffee supplies and a nice view out of the window. The décor could use updating as it felt a bit dated and worn in places.

The pancake platter at The Airman was a game changer, stacked high and drizzled with maple syrup, just good! Plus, the check-in via text made for a smooth arrival, no hassle whatsoever. Really appreciated that!

The hotel really needs a refurbishment. The bedroom carpet was threadbare, and the bed wasn't as comfy as I'd hoped. Plus, only two milk pots came with the tea/coffee tray, no biscuits in sight! And no breakfast facilities on site.

Dinner was great, but not the cheap escape I hoped for

Food was impressively good-had the seabass, and it was delicious. The homemade sticky toffee pudding? Lovely!

It wasn't exactly a bargain, but for what I got, it's acceptable.

The room had a cozy double bed that was surprisingly comfortable. The staff, even though few, were friendly and helpful when we needed advice on local attractions. The restaurant offered a great lunchtime special which we thoroughly enjoyed.
